Version 1.2 Is Live + Thank You For Playing!


Version 1.2 (A.K.A. The Exterminator Update):

- Reworked collisions on the parked cart entity; the player should no longer be able to 'step' on the cart at any point

- Reworked collision on the player character; it should no longer be possible for the player to 'fall' into and slide around in the floor

- Resolved some issues related to trash; the To-Do List should display the correct number of remaining trash to be picked up, and rooms can no longer be erroneously flagged as 'clean' if there is still trash to be picked up

- Resolved some issues with the final scene of the game; the player camera is no longer oriented incorrectly, and the scene itself no longer ends earlier than expected

This update will most likely need to be downloaded manually for the changes to take effect.

And so we have it, the Anomalous Entity Game Jam is officially over. My first ever game has been released into the wild, and the reception I've received up to now has been nothing short of fantastic. A few bugs which I regretfully never got the chance to fix before the deadline (but should be fixed now in this new update!), but a lot of people who've left comments on the project seem to be totally on board with the concept, which was amazing to see.
I will likely put together another devlog in the next week or so; a sort of post-mortem where I can talk more about the game's development, what went right or wrong and where I plan on going next, but that'll happen when I have some time to myself, what with having a part-time job and all. For now though, all I really can say is thank you to everyone who gave this weird little experiment a chance, and I hope you had the chance to enjoy some of the other game jam submissions as well - trust me, there is a LOT to choose from if you're in a spooky mood!
